Hiked with zag, shutter bug, m 80, trooper and willow today to iron mtn shelter. Lots of "Bob Peoples" graffiti on the shelter walls through here: BP sleeps with a pillow under his pistol; BP hunts chuck Norris; gives boots blisters; bites snakes; Jesus asks BP for forgiveness; the mice bring BP food;..on & on..you get the idea, but it's fun to read and see how creative people are. Makes you want to think of one, too, doesn't it?!
I'm looking forward to my birthday in Damascus. Shutter bug says the blue blaze cafe has $1.50 tacos on Tuesday.
At the iron mtn shelter tonight: me, zag, techie, big Yank, boomerang (Sobo) (Sobo=southbound) Sobo says he's doing 25-30 miles a day because he's ready to be done..how miserable is that? Dinner tonight: ham n spinach Mac n cheese, oatmeal appetizer, dessert was hazelnut chocolate wafer.
To Abingdon gap tomorrow then to Damascus!
